
Forbes just released their annual “Hip Hop’s Cash Kings of 2010” list with Jay-z making the top spot for the 2nd year straight. He made an estimated $63 million, which includes a worldwide tour grossing about $1 million per show. He also has a stake in the New Jersey Nets and co-ownership in the 40/40 club.
Diddy brought in 30 million fueled by his stake in Ciroc vodka and his film and movie roles. Other mentions are Akon (21 million) and Lil Wayne (20 Million).

haha, that’s funny. But looking through the list I’m seeing most people made their money from touring. So if you went on tour or stayed doing shows, he may have made that. But making 5 million in a year also means you made about 100k a week too. so you may be right
